ISO 27001 recovery after a leadership gap

0Major nonconformities
ISO 27001Recertified
35%Faster help-desk resolution
Situation
The company lost its security leadership shortly before a scheduled ISO 27001 recertification audit. The program existed largely on paper: evidence was scattered, controls had drifted from documentation, and no one was accountable for the response. The audit deadline was fixed.
What we owned
We stepped in as virtual CISO and took ownership of the whole program: reconstructing the control set and its evidence, closing the gaps that mattered, and preparing the organization for the audit. In parallel, we rebuilt the help-desk knowledge base and deployed AI service-desk agents to triage and draft responses, with staff reviewing before anything reached a user.
Outcome
The company recertified to ISO 27001 with zero major nonconformities. Help-desk resolution time dropped 35% through the AI agents and the rebuilt knowledge base, with a human on the trigger throughout.

Post-acquisition integration across 12 offices

400Users in 60 days
12Offices unified
AWSDatacenter migrated
$500K+Vendor savings
Situation
An acquisition brought together two companies with separate systems, vendors, and ways of working: 400 users across 12 offices, running on an aging datacenter, with overlapping contracts and no unified technology leadership.
What we owned
We led the integration end to end: unifying identity, systems, and support across all 12 offices; migrating the datacenter to AWS; standing up a 10-person team to run the combined environment; and renegotiating and consolidating the vendor portfolio.
Outcome
All 400 users were unified within 60 days, on cloud infrastructure built to scale, with more than $500K in annual vendor spend eliminated, and no disruption to the business through the transition.

An AI first-responder for a busy service desk

~90%Categorization accuracy
~12sFirst response per ticket
0Tickets left unassigned
Situation
An internal IT service desk was drowning in undifferentiated work. Most tickets landed in a single catch-all category, nearly everything was tagged "Medium" priority, and new tickets sat unowned until someone grabbed them, so the work quietly concentrated on one person. Every ticket started from zero, even routine issues the team had solved dozens of times.
What we owned
We built an AI first-responder that acts the moment a ticket is created: reading and understanding the request, diagnosing it the way an experienced technician would, and drafting two responses (a plain-language one for the user and a technical note for the specialist). It classifies and prioritizes the ticket, assigns an owner, and notifies the team in about twelve seconds. It is grounded in the organization's own knowledge base and human-in-the-loop by construction: the AI never messages a user on its own.
Outcome
Every new ticket now gets an owner immediately. The "unassigned pile" is gone and work is spread across the team. Categorization runs at roughly 90% accuracy, drafts are good enough that senior technicians have adopted several word-for-word, and turnaround is about twelve seconds per ticket for a few dollars a month to operate.

Vulnerability triage on autopilot, for a team with no security department

100s→1Ranked list weekly
~66%Browser-exposed hosts cut in 2 weeks
0Dedicated security staff
Situation
A mid-size organization with a few hundred Windows endpoints and no dedicated security or patch-engineering staff was getting hundreds of findings from a weekly vulnerability scan, with no reliable way to separate "exploited and urgent" from "noise on a decommissioned laptop." Machines were persistently behind on patches and no one could say why.
What we owned
We built an autonomous weekly AI agent that ingests the scan and device-management data, enriches every finding with real-world exploit intelligence (CISA KEV and EPSS), filters out offline and out-of-scope hosts, and produces a ranked worklist, an executive summary, a live dashboard, and grouped remediation tickets. We paired it with AI-assisted root-cause analysis that cross-checks every conclusion against an independent source before it drives a decision.
Outcome
Hundreds of raw findings became a ranked action list each week. Browser-exposed hosts were cut by roughly two-thirds in two weeks, verified against scan history so the improvement was credible rather than cosmetic. Along the way the agent surfaced a multi-month compliance-reporting blind spot the existing dashboards had missed, and a large share of the fleet stranded on end-of-life operating systems, reframing the work from "patch faster" to "upgrade and lifecycle-manage."

A secure AWS foundation for production and AI workloads

Multi-accountBlast-radius isolation
IaCReproducible & audited
SSOLeast-privilege access
Situation
A data-driven organization needed a secure, production-grade cloud foundation to run its applications and AI workloads.
What we owned
We designed and stood up a multi-account AWS Organization from scratch, built on blast-radius isolation: billing and org-wide security controls in a locked-down management account, real workloads never running there, and each environment and product line in its own account so a mistake or compromise in one place can't reach production. The entire build is codified as idempotent, self-verifying infrastructure-as-code, paired with an operator runbook, so it is reproducible, auditable, and safe to re-run.
What it delivers
Preventative guardrails via Service Control Policies (region lock, mandatory encryption, IMDSv2 required, public databases denied, root-user access denied in member accounts); centralized single sign-on with least-privilege, time-boxed role-based access; org-wide tamper-evident audit logging and managed threat detection that auto-enrolls new accounts; production monitoring proven by evidence pulled from live AWS APIs; and an MFA-gated break-glass path.
